We’re getting ready for another Tour D’Amour and more 2020 shows, but until then here’s our own Steve Adams on how the song was inspired:
“I wrote this song on a plane to a gig I was about to miss. I was side-stepping from Gramblers tour to an ALO one-off in Reno, and after a fantastic late-night hang in New Orleans, well, I simply missed my flight. I boarded the next one (even though I knew it wouldn’t get me there in time), and with a guilty pen, I scribbled down most of these words. It’s essentially an apology to my band et al, and a reminder to myself why I get myself up (on time) in the morning. Which is, so I can party with you.”
