Anyone remember 2002?

it was SO live SO funky SO fresh

Now i don't rant my opinion very often anymore , as I have learned what a mess that can cause

BUT

I am stoked ALO is taking it mellow to pursue other ventures!
I am happy that they are taking a break!

Don't get me wrong, I miss all the great shows & times with all of YOU
rocking the ALO train a bit further down the track!

But I honestly want everyone to reflect on exactly "what" ALO is, was, and WILL BE!

Time Expander was such a ball, it was literally the event horizon when ALO realized they were a kick ass improv JAM BAND!

Lets find that spirit, lets find that energy, LETS GET READY TO PARTY!

I just read ALO booked Jamcruise 09
If this is true, I hope its just a precursor to an absolutely momentous year and another OPUS like Time Expander.

That TE set from Soho last year was off the HIZZY!

amen, alo changed the way i view live music. You dont just pick up and acoustic guitar and rip crazy solos and riffs, and why would anyone write a love song for according/melodica, true inspirations, come back through atlanta please

I hear ya that being at the beginning of any bands journey is an exceptional experience (similar experience with the Disco Biscuits and U-Melt). ALO has a lot of potential and with their solid networking should continue to grow. Will they get huge? If they continue down the poppy jamband track I'd say so (appealing to JJ fans). I find while I love the guys they don't have an insatiable appeal to most jamband fans.

I just moved to OB, so I am hoping to see the guys a lot more often and on their home turf. Here's to the guys continually experimenting with creative artwork and expelling good vibes in the live music scene
