ALOha!
Here is a nice audience recording from TaperBruce (you rock!).

A bit chatty, but that can be expected for a NYE gig. Zach even says that they left more space between songs than usual to accommodate the social nature of a New Year's Eve party. MC Wavy Gravy adds some authentic San Francisco flavor to the proceedings--compounded by a surprise sit-in by Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann on They Love Each Other > Use Me > They Love Each Other. A cover of Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer" busts open the new year in a big way, a rare Celery Stalker adds some crunchy grooves, and the 3-day long BBQ sandwich closer seals the deal to top off another epic NYE run. What a fantastic year it's been for ALO, with the resounding success of Roses & Clover, tons of XM-radio airplay, gigs all over the world, and a burgeoning legion of fans--the future looks bright for the Animal Liberation Orchestra!
LIBERATE IN 2008!!

Keepin' it wild & free,

Hi, just wondering if there will be any soundboards/ matrix recordings of the New Years run. Did the band allow this or just the audience recordings we are getting.

The band did record the run with soundboard and mics for a matrix. Not sure what they will do with it yet. Hang tight. For now, have a listen to the audience recordings. I think they are getting to the point where the demand is strong enough to potentially offer the board matrix recordings for sale/download the way SCI, STS9, HBR, NM, etc... do. That's just my opinion though, and I don't know one way or the other what they want to do. Would you be willing to pay $14.99/show, $30 for the three day run to download flac files to help support the band?

I would definitely support ALO if they decided to take this route. Living here in AZ I do not know if they will ever come here. Many bands have given their fans so much free music through LMA or Etree or just letting tapers tape.
I would pay for this run of shows if they were on an Mp3 and FLAC download basis. I would also payto download the upcoming CA run. It is expensive to just get in the car and drive to CALI for shows. Roughly $300 to $600.00 to see a few shows and make it seem like a vacation and not sleep in my car:).

Please allow us fans to purchase the music. You have already given us so much free music. Ahnd thro in that ride captain ride from 10/25/07 as a filler somewhere!!!

They should offer a few soundboards from 2007. High Sierra "Big Meadow" & "Funk 'n' Jamhouse", Soho 8/18 & 8/19, Las Tortugas, New Years 3 night run @ Independent. I'm not sure they should do soundboards for all shows unless they allow some LMA @ the same time. Free music does help the fan base grow!

Ideal pricing would be for Flac/Mp3 downloads...1-night $9.99, 2- night $14.99 & 3-night run $19.99. Start low with the pricing and leave room to grow.
