There are 10 americans i know of planning the trek across the atlantic for the amsterdam show. from this list there are as well some dutch, and a german planning on attending.

So we should all meet up before the show, so we know who we're dancing with, and to meet people from across the planet who share the same vibe.

Showtime, according to the paradiso site, is 8:30. I want to be there early, like 8- so we can "warm the place up" a bit for the boys. The place could be empty in the beginning so a good showing of a dozen freaks right off the bat is a welcomed treat for any band.

That leaves us with a 6:00 coffee shop and falafel dinner meetup? I am attempting to roll the largest joint I've ever rolled for the show. It's a tradition I have from the Paradiso that dates back 10 years. I'll need some assistance, if anyone is interested. My recommendation (and i'd like the amsterdam locals to assist here if they have a better idea) is to meet at Da Rockerie, A coffee shop that's very close to the Paradiso, right next to the Tram, and easy to find. They have a great bar and chill places to hang out. If you smoke or not it's a cool bar. We could take a walk through the park before the show as well and do some pre-dance warm up routine for the public, bring a parade of soon to be liberated strangers with us back to the paradiso, spontaneous party parade.....

Ideas anyone?
Roll Call!

looking good on the casual meetup before the show.

the 1st rokerij is the one we will visit. it is in leidseplein.
get off tram, go towards mcdonalds, take a right at the falafel stand, halfway down the 1st block on the left.
the name of the street (does it matter in amsterdam?) is Lange Leidsedwarsstraat

da rokerij website (http://www.rokerij.net/coffieshop/leidsestraat/)

with names as simple as oudezijds achterburgwal for streets, james, i don't know how you could get this confused.

more to come

life is moving at a very fast pace these days and this amsterdam show dun snuck up on me!

we leave tomorrow and stay through tuesday, messing about town saturday night, some 14 odd crazy eyed americans. we shouldn't be too hard to spot.

"if this houseboat's a rockin'"
please come a knockin'

we're on a houseboat on the amstel river, we'll see what the situation is like but it may be a good place for an afterparty.....?

so, the pre-show meet-up is still scheduled for da rockerie near liedseplein, starting around 6pm. maybe we can convince the bartender to play some music for us. we shouldn't be that hard to spot and we look forward to meeting anyone who shows up.

again, the show is at 8pm and we all should be there before that. personally, i'll be leaving for the paradiso around 7:30. it is a 5 minute walk from the cafe.

ciao! see you in amsterdam.

jay, jess, james, brandi, aly, charlie, daya, jessee, michelle, and bryce.

i did not make it out to the pre-party: got stuck at the ocean (swimming! in late september!) and was too tired for the after party since i also had to drive back to stuttgart the next morning. it would have been great to meet all of you, maybe next time around.

they did say 'see you soon' after all
