Ok, it has taken a long time to get this out.

Not sure if you want some back story to this show or not...but, you are going to get it.

Ok, they were suppose to go on at 1:45, but ended up going on around 3am. Why you wonder...well here is my theroy.

Ozric was suppose to play right before them...I mean how sick would that have been Ozric and then ALO. Well they could not make it through their customs so...no Oz. So the logical thing to have done would let ALO play a really really long show. Nope. They had Everyone Orchestra come up and play. Sure its cool to see that happen...but I would have rather seen ALO.

Ok, EO is done. Now the sound is so messed up and the late night Wooks on the board had moved every dial, tweeked every knob, and slidered every fader by that time...it took them forever to set up....so

3am on the dot.

Great set. I hung with Hendo who came down from Iowa to see the show...(big shout to that cat!!!)..he then went home promptly after that to be in a wedding. Which I hear he made!!! KUDOS!

Myself and a friend of mine Charlie Hitchcock, who sat in with a few bands at Waka, headed back to my place. I sat my alarm for 10am. Well, I had slept about 3 hours the night before and so I over slept. We head back out the Waka about 2:30 and I was depressed. ALO was playing at noon and I felt I had missed them. Well, another band had canceld playing and they had been moved to play later in the day...so as i was walking into the festival I heard the following....

Shapeshifter...it was during the jam i got a text...my buddy Charlie was about to sit in and play "Fearless" with Revolutionary Side Effects. So I headed to the other stage. I could hear

Haji - being played as i went into the tent.

Later I bumped into Dan and he gave me a set list. He had a couple songs out of order from what I had...but here is what it said....but what I heard is all I can confirm...though I am sure they closed with that they had on the paper.

Well, as I was walking around earlier in the backstage area, I bumped into Dan. He said he was kind of beat, that they had had a rough journey and that he was just about to get juiced up on coffee. He said he rarely drank coffee and that it really wired him out. I thought he was just being goofy saying this....well it really did.

He was doing all these insane moves, like going down on one knee and coming back up and twisting and jumping all around. There is one pic of him, from the late night, where he has his leg up and body twisted around. That was the best i could get of that.

When I get home i will post a few more pics...ones that are worthy.

I am glad someone is moving around on the board right now...sometimes it is quite lonely out here.

Well Hendo (where are you??? why are you not posting anymore???) said he talked to Dan about the run they are doing in the fall and it is pretty much like the summer tour...so hopefully we will chase them to a couple shows...I know for ceartin that we are going to try and hit the NYE run.

You should jump on the forum tour bus (it is just myself and hendo right now) but it could grow.

I did some work bringing in Charlie Hitchcock for Wakarusa. And basically, if he needed anything I had to get it for him....which he really never did...chuck is so low maintaniance...he is awesome. Anyway, I got a band laminate to be able to get needed items to him and basically just hang with him. Great weekend. Dan, I think, remembered me from Omaha...when my best friend (not on the forum yet...that bastage...but he is going on the NYE run also) drove up from Lawrence and rocked out to a great show in Omaha. My buddy is trying to book them in Lawrence and has been talking to Jenna...so we had a pretty long talk with Dan and Jenna...so I think he remembers me now...that and I saw him a few times over Friday and Saturday.

So where are you located at???

Maybe yours can be a stop on the ALO Forum Bus Tour.
So how many do you think there are of us here now...110...111...112...LOL

1st thing i will do for you when i get there.

Right on...well I just noticed a show in Colorado...kind of far from you I bet.

It is a festival...I will be kind of glad when festival season is over...and we get full ALO shows again. I need me a good three hour fix.

North D and South D...I won't ask.

As for the NYE run...we are waiting anxiously to find out when they are going to drop that bomb...and then we are on it. I have already requested the time off from work. Now just have to save some money. If you go on Archive.org you will see they usually play Santa Barbara for a few days around NYE. I think it is tradition. Being stuck in Kansas and loving a band that has a HUGE following in Cali, with traditions and special shows, I feel I have missed quite a bit...but...better late than never.

Only 20 more mins and i will be done with work...i will rush home and select some more good ones for you!!!!

you mentioned the fall tour to be like summer tour...the northeast run in may was more of an album-release/supporting set...is there word on headlining?

that was just some information that Hendo said that Dan had said.

So....when he appears back in the forum you should ask him more about it.

Hopefully, they will be doing more tours that involve cities that they have yet to go to...we can only hope

here I am! I haven't been checking since they've been kind of idle..... I do suppose that following them in the fall would be a good idea for everyone. I went 2 nights in a row and got to meet them all before the first show and got a picture with zach and autographs on the roses and clover CD. I told them I was following them to the next show and they were really cool with that and were soooo nice and interactive the next night. They remembered us and everything! haha.....they're busy and get that a lot I figure. Soooo yeah! once some dates are posted we'll be pulling this together b/c it's a definite thing that everyone should go to!!!
