IMPRESSED way beyond my expectations! They *OWNED* the place last night. Been to many a Fillmore show, and few are the shows that are as packed at the end of the night as they are at the beginning of the evening. Last night was one of those nights. Not a soul budged – and why would they? The postman delivered all night long…….
The prom pictures were awesome - they had a painted backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge, big professional photography lights set up - very well done - cannot wait to see our picture : )
Yes, there was a poster, but no apples : (those woulda come in way handy last night ; )
The disco portion of the evening with Honeycutt (it was a Boz Scaggs tune I believe???) was off da hook. It was zoomin - just absolutely nailed. Fun Fun Fun Fun Fun. Did I say that it was really fun?
The band was tight - you could definitely tell that they studied hard for this night. And yes, the word that keeps coming to mind for me was proud. I was just so proud of their whole organization for pulling off their Fillmore debut in such a stunning way. Top notch from beginning to end, thas fo sho.
Musical highlights were pretty much ubiquitous throughout the night. The jams were tasty, the guest appearances were right one. The Jack mini set was super fun. That band was ON - the Girl that came right out of the Jack tune was super-nice – a bit rearranged I think? Maybe not, but that’s what my brain is telling me at this point. The Rodeo Clowns was an awesome pick from Jack's abundant catalog of fun songs to hear.
Those are my thoughts from my still truly blissed out brain - I'm sure more folks will fill in more details, but suffice to say that last night was a hugely successful step in the ascendancy of this band - nice job guys!
